Update Rollups für Dynamics NAV 2013

Neuer Prozess für Dynamics NAV 2013 (Applikations)-Hotfixes (Update Rollups)

Am 29. April hat Microsoft das erste Update Rollup für Dynamics NAV 2013 veröffentlicht. In diesem Monat zunächst für die Versionen DE und W1, weitere werden in den kommenden Wochen folgen und dann regelmäßig monatlich veröffentlicht. Die Pakete sind jeweils kumulativ, enthalten also alle vorherigen Korrekturen und regulatorische Updates.

Today we have released update rollup 3 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 (Build 34902).

Update rollup 3 includes all application and platform hotfixes and regulatory features that have been released for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013.

Update Rollup 5 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 has been released

Today we have released update rollup 5 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 (Build 35201).

Update rollup 5 includes all application and platform hotfixes and regulatory features that have been released for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013. Local hotfixes for Australia and New Zealand have been added to update rollup 5 and the update rollups now include hotfixes that apply to all countries and hotfixes specific to the following local versions:

AU – Australia (NEW)
DE - Germany
DK - Denmark
FR - France
IT - Italy
NA – North America
NL – Netherlands
NZ – New Zealand (NEW)
UK - United Kingdom

Dazu eine, vielleicht dumme, Frage:
Was macht man mit einer CH-Version? Vergisst man diese Fixes einfach oder soll man das alles in Handarbeit einpflegen?
Was ist hier die Idee / Vorstellung von Microsoft?

Was macht man mit einer CH-Version?

Als ich neulich eine CH-Version aus anderen Gründen gemergt habe, fiel mir auf, dass bereits die CH-Basisversion im wesentlichen auf dem Stand von DE Update Rollup 2 ist. Da diese ja später als die NAV 2013 Group 1 Länder erscheint, ist da der Codestand bereits ein paar Monate weiter.
Es hat also auch Vorteile, nicht zur Gruppe 1 zu gehören .
Alles andere wird man wohl mergen müssen, falls nicht wie jetzt mit Australien und Neuseeland noch weitere Länder mitversorgt werden und die Schweiz mit dabei ist. Derzeit sind aber selbst für Gruppe 1 noch Lücken in der Versorgungsliste, und die Schweiz gehört zur Gruppe 2.

Ab dem nächsten Rollup werden weitere Länder mitversorgt, und CH und AT sind mit dabei (Great update rollup news for AT, BE, CH, ES, FI, IS, NO).

Ab dem nächsten Monat soll die Bezeichnung "Update Rollup" in "Cumulative Update" umgetauft werden (laut Blogkommentaren von MS zu Update Rollup 5 für R2).
